Trade With Incognators

Incogs and Pess executed a deal involving some quality youngsters. Pess Players send Dustin Pedroia (a stud SS prospect for the dirt Red Sox) and Brian Slocum (a RP prospect for CLE). In return Pess gets Chris Nelson (the 2004 1st round pick of the Rockies) and Garret Olson (one of the top SP prospects for the Orioles). Hopefully, these young guys help Pess stockpile young talent that will contribute in the not-too-distant-future.

Another Trade with Mizzou

Pess has just sent Billy Wagner, Josh Willingham, and Shin Shoo Choo to Mizzou...in exchange, they receive stud OF Carl Crawford (TB) and a solid setup man in Luis Ayala (WAS). This leaves Pess Players with a projected starting OF of Manny Ramirez, Jermaine Dye, and Carl Crawford, with Carlos Quentin, Nick Markakis, and Chris Duncan fighting for a DH spot.

Rebuilding Trade #1 & #2

Pess Players have just made a big trade in an attempt to get younger. Pess send Adam Dunn and Kevin Millwood packing to Mizzou...in return, they get some very good young players in 23 year old Philip Humber (SP, NYM), 24 year old Carlos Quentin (OF, ARZ), and 25 year old Travis Bowyer (RP, FLA).

In the second trade, Hideki Matsui is sent packing to Anderson, IN for a couple of minor leaguers. Kevin Kouzmanoff (3B/1B, CLE) and Wes Littleton (RP, TEX) come back to Pess in return.

Off-Season Plan

Last season ended with a loss in the Final Four. This season ended with a loss in the Finals (congrats to Shuppers for repeating as champ). So, the ole' ballcoach of the Pess Players is looking to make some drastic changes this 0ff-season. Basically, every player not named Pujols is available for trades. I'd like to get a lot younger and see wholesale changes to my roster. The "core" of the team has been the same for a while, and I'm starting to get bored. It might mean I give up lots of talent and get less talent back...but, it should make things more fun next season. Stay tuned for what will hopefully be an off-season full of trades...
